  1. A termite is any member of the INSECT order 
  2. Isoptera. Termites are soft-bodied social 
  3. insects living in large colonies which 
  4. include one or more queens (of relatively 
  5. enormous size and producing an egg every two 
  6. seconds), much smaller kings, and still 
  7. smaller soldiers, workers, and immature 
  8. forms. Termites build galleried nests of soil 
  9. particles that may be 6m (20ft) high.
